The best places to learn skiing for young skiers

Skiing is a great activity for the whole family. This sport can be practiced even by children just a few years old. Which slopes are worth going to with your kids? Here are our suggestions!

Białka Tatrzańska – Kotelnica Białczańska

This is the largest complex located in Podhale. Lovers of the skiing can szusują here on the slopes of Jankulakowski Wierch with a height of 934 m above sea level or Kotelnica, whose height is 918 m above sea level. For skiers there are 14 slopes with varying degrees of difficulty, several kilometers of cross-country trails offering 5 different types of loops, a snow park with a length of 300 meters and a tubing track. In Białka Tatrzańska there are 9 chairlifts, 8 ski tows and 3 belt lifts. But that’s not all. You can also find a number of facilities, such as ski equipment rental or ski school.

After a day spent on the slopes you can go to Terma Bania. The complex includes among others swimming pools filled with thermal water with a temperature of 36°C. For children will be waiting water playground with numerous slides, gutters and slides. In the local hotel Bania you can take advantage of attractions such as playroom or children’s cinema.

Bukowina Tatrzańska – Family Ski Station RUSIŃ-SKI

The above mentioned facility is located on the slopes of Wierch Rusiński. There are 5 ski lifts, including 2 chairlifts, 2 T-bar lifts and a Baby Lift for the youngest (its length is 50 meters). In order to guarantee the highest level of safety, the training lift has been separated from the main slope. There are 5 easy trails from 120 to 1200 meters long in Rusin Ski. For visitors also awaits snowtubing track, ski and snowboard school, equipment rental and ski kindergarten. A short distance away is a complex of thermal baths Bukowina with numerous thermal pools and slides.



Ustrzyki Dolne – Ski Station Gromadzyń – Laworta

The mentioned complex is located in the Bieszczady Mountains. It consists of 2 ski stations. Gromadzyń consists of 5 ski lifts – 3 platter lifts of lengths of 300 meters, 200 meters and 150 meters and 2 ski tows of lengths of 700 meters. A 1,500 metre long piste leads from Gromadzyń to the bottom station of the Stary Gromadzyń ski lift. More advanced skiers can go to Laworta, where there is the longest chairlift in the Bieszczady Mountains with a track of 1250 meters. There are also 2 ski lifts – one is 1250 meters long and the second one is 300 meters long (it’s a belt lift designed for the youngest). At both stations you can find rental shops, schools and a ski kindergarten.

Rytro – Ryterski Raj

This is a popular resort located in the Beskid Sądecki. Its big advantage are gentle slopes of Jastrzębska Mountain. In the area of the complex there are 3 blue runs with a low degree of difficulty. One of them is “Rogasiowa łączka”, where you can find a ski lift and start learning in the ski school. Other attractions include a snowtubing track, Hornbill Kindergarten and family training. Advanced skiers can take the red route.

Istebna – Zagroń Complex

Complex Zagroń is located in Beskid Sądecki, a short distance from Wisła. You can choose from 3 routes – with a chairlift long 840 meters, T-bar lift with a length of 260 meters and the tape, which is 110 meters long. There is a ski and snowboard school, a toddlers’ corner, a mini zoo and a playground. After a day’s madness on the slopes, you can relax in the OLZA Water Park.
